Bob has been involved in mortgage banking since 1973.   After growing up in Wisconsin, he moved to the Chicago area where he worked in the collection department for a national mortgage lender.  Bob changed companies to become a loan originator, and after a short time was assigned the task of opening a new branch office in one of the Chicago suburbs.  He opened a total of four branches in the Chicago area over the next seven years, until he, his wife Mary, and their two children fulfilled a life long dream to move out west, settling in Montrose, Colorado in 1980.  In 1983 Bob, Mary and Del Kinkel open First Mortgage Corporation.  Currently, Bob & Mary are the sole owners of FMC and have  offices in Montrose, Colorado and in Moab, Utah.  A majority of Bob’s efforts are spent coordinating originating activities.
