Looking towards the Southwest

Not all the views are spectacular but all are beautiful. This is a view looking southwest towards the East Portal of the park. These walls soon turn to a sharp and deep canyon, as they follow the Gunnison River.

The park is located approximately 250 miles SW of Denver. South Rim: 15 miles east of Montrose, via U.S. Hwy 50 and CO Hwy 347. North Rim: 11 miles south of Crawford, via CO Hwy 92 and North Rim Road (closed in winter)
